The Crew

Kristin

Kristin

Nickname: Ssshhh here she comes Like a greatly decorated military leader Kristin organizes us throughout the day with precision. It’s most likely to be Kristin that answers your emails or telephone calls. She does seem a little bossy always telling us what to do, but the days at Kahu do seem to run a whole lot smoother when she is here.

Stephen

A few years ago people looking for Stephen would be directed to the pie warmer at Kaiteriteri Store. Having turned over a new leaf of fitness, he can now be found teaching people how to kayak and how to see the Abel Tasman from places other than the pie warmer. Stephen has sent out more people than most into the park and they have all come back.

Andrew

Andrew Nickname: Stuntman Andrew or Andy is 'Mr-fix-it' here at Kahu Kayaks. If it’s broken we take it to him to cast his ever vigilant eye over it, then when he’s not looking we whip into town and have it fixed properly. Andy has been kayaking for years, drives the boat and is always quick with a joke. Not a bad team member, really.

Brent

Brent, or Boysie as he is more commonly known, has been doing this whole kayak thing for what seems like forever.  When he is not out on the water he is searching the land with his trusty grizzle hound.  One of the most excitable people you will ever meet.

Kristin

Regina

Regina is our European import and she is out here learning the ropes of being a kiwi.  We must say she is doing a pretty sharp job.  Regina is getting the kiwi jargon down pat and has brought herself a flash as pair of gumboots and even eats her ‘fush and chups’ with heaps of Watties tomato sauce.

Kristie

I tell you, it is worth being polite to this girl – a champion weightlifter in her youth, Krispie as we have nicknamed her, is dedicated to whatever she puts her mind to and luckily for us, at the moment her mind is set on kayaking. A trained councillor so don’t tell her what you are thinking.

Kristin

Milan

Despite a very exotic name Milan is actually the most local of us all, born and bred right here in Marahau.  Milan has been in and around the National Park his whole life, driving boats and fishing.  Actually more fishing than anything else.

Jeremy

Jezz is a Motueka boy from way back.   He loves his rugby and wearing his little rugby shorts and there is even a cheeky hint of a mullet on the back of his neck.  A super nice guy who will do anything for you.  He enjoys a quiet wine with the ladies or can be found trying to impress them with his home made pizza making skills.

Kristin

Robbie

With his long curly locks and his passion for surfing you could be excused for thinking Robbie had come straight from the set of our favourite surf movie Point Break.  But this boy is switched on, a registered nurse and full of enthusiasm he is a good man to have on the team.

Nicole

Nicole has moved up from the shaky city of Christchurch where she studied kayaking and outdoor adventure for like 4 years.  Spending that long learning about something you hope they are going to be good at it and so far so good.  She has a relaxed nature and seems incredibly easy to get along with.
